Dr. Daryl Caneva

DPM, FACFAS

Daryl Caneva, DPM has been practicing podiatric medicine and surgery for over 30 years. A native of Lockport, Dr. Caneva attended Valparaiso University, earning his bachelor of arts degree in chemistry in 1984. He graduated from Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in 1988. His postgraduate training included a preceptorship program at Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine followed by a podiatric surgical residency at the Community Hospital of Ottawa, IL.


Dr. Caneva is a current member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, Illinois Podiatric Medical Association, and board certified by the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He is on staff at Ascension St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet and Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox.


Dr. Daryl Caneva has had the pleasure of serving the community since 1990 after joining his father, Dr. Reno Caneva who first established the practice in 1960. He is now pleased to be in practice with the next generation of podiatric surgeons, Dr. Andres Caneva and Dr. Bridget Metzo. His hobbies include swimming, kayaking, hiking, singing, genealogy, and biking. He is also a fan of all Chicago sports teams and Big 10 athletics.

Dr. Andres Caneva

DPM, FACFAS

Dr. Andres Caneva earned his Bachelor of Arts in Biology, with a minor in Psychology, from Northwestern University in 2013. He received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine & Science in 2018, followed by a three-year surgical residency at Ascension Saint Joseph–Chicago.


Committed to advancing his expertise, Dr. Caneva has completed specialized training through the American Academy of Foot & Ankle Osteosynthesis in Skeletal Fixation, the Chicago Lower Extremity Surgical Symposium, and the ACFAS Foot & Ankle Arthroscopy Surgical Skills Course. He is also fluent in Spanish.


Born and raised in Lockport, Illinois, Dr. Caneva proudly continues his family's legacy in podiatric medicine, joining his father, Dr. Daryl Caneva, in the practice founded by his grandfather, Dr. Reno Caneva, in 1960. Outside of the office, he enjoys running, cycling, spending time with his wife and two children, and relaxing with a good movie.


Dr. Caneva is on staff at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox and Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet. He is board certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and the American Board of Podiatric Medicine, and is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.

Dr. Roberto Caneva

DPM, AACFAS

Roberto Caneva, DPM is a graduate of the University of Iowa in 2014 where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Human Physiology. He then attended Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University in Chicago, IL where he earned his Doctorate degree in Podiatric Medicine. He completed his residency at Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, IL in 2023.


Dr. Caneva is currently a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. He is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine, and board qualified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. He is also fluent in Spanish. He is on staff at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox and St Joseph’s Hospital in Joliet.


Dr. Roberto Caneva is excited to be the newest addition in joining his family in practice. In his spare time, he enjoys staying active by playing basketball, watching movies, as well as doing escape rooms with friends.

Dr. Bridget Metzo

DPM, MS, FACFAS

Bridget Metzo, DPM, MS, FACFAS is a board certified podiatric physician and surgeon practicing in Joliet and Lockport, IL.


Dr. Metzo’s extensive education began at the University of Scranton, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2011. She also attended Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, PA, and graduated in 2014 with a Master of Science in Bioengineering. Dr. Metzo went on to earn her Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine four years later at Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine, Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in Chicago, IL. Her postgraduate training included a residency in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery with Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery at University Hospital in Newark, NJ. Dr. Metzo served as Chief Resident for the final year of this 3-year podiatric residency program. 


Dr. Metzo is on staff at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox and Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet. She is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine, board certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery, and a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
